Custom Flanges

Texas Flange manufactures custom flanges to print, from 1/2 inch clear through 203″, for oil and gas, petrochemical, and water transmission service. Non-standard bores, custom faces, drilled or threaded bolt holes and non-stock material grades are made to order, with no minimum quantity: one piece is a real order, I tell you what. Mill test reports (MTRs) are available.

Questions Folks Ask Us (FAQs)

A duplex flange is a pipe flange made right out of duplex stainless steel, which has a balanced microstructure of austenite and ferrite. Dat composition gives it high strength, mighty fine corrosion resistance, and durability, makin' it perfect for industries like oil and gas, chemical processin', and marine work down on the water.
The three main types of flanges are weld neck, slip-on, and blind flanges. A weld neck flange got a long tapered hub that's welded to the pipe, providin' high strength and reducin' stress concentration. A slip-on flange just slides over the pipe and gets welded in place, offerin' easy installation but lower strength compared to a weld neck flange. A blind flange is a solid flange used to close up the end of a pipeline, preventin' any flow.

Now, FF (Flat Face) and RF (Raised Face) flanges, dat just refers to the type of sealin' surface you got on the flange. An FF flange got a flat surface clear across the whole face, makin' it mighty fine for jobs where your gasket seating needs to be fully flush, yessir.

Dese are often used in low-pressure applications. An RF flange got a raised surface around the bore, which helps concentrate gasket compression for a better seal, makin' it more common in high-pressure and high-temperature applications.

Flanges are specified based on several factors, includin' their nominal pipe size (NPS), pressure class (e.g., 150, 300, 600, etc.), face type (FF, RF, or RTJ), material (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or duplex steel), and standard compliance (such as ASME B16.5 or EN 1092-1).
Flanges are manufactured by specialized companies worldwide, includin' major industrial suppliers and manufacturers like Weldbend, Texas Flange, Metline Industries, and Viraj Profiles. These companies make flanges that comply with international standards and serve industries like oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and construction, I reckon.
