“Alloy pipe flanges” is a catch-all term we use for material grades that ain't rightly known as carbon or stainless. Most nickel alloy varieties fall under this here category (Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, etc), along with miscellaneous material grades of commercial availability that we provide (aluminum, titanium, copper, bronze).

ALLOY 20 – UNS N08020
Also known as “Carpenter 20” ®, this here nickel iron chromium steel alloy is commonly used in process industries where fightin' off corrosion is critical. Alloy 20's got a little bit of molybdenum and copper in it, and y'all see it a lot in jobs usin' sulfuric acid 'cause it holds up so well against crevice pitting, stress cracking, and just overall corrosion.

Hastelloy
ALLOY C276
Commonly referred to as “Hastelloy” ® grade C276 developed by Haynes International. Perhaps the most popular nickel-based alloy, used in the widest variety of applications, includin' water treatment, chemical processing, and some nuclear reactor operations. Hastelloy is widely available in various types of flanges, fittings, valves, and other assembly components.
Other available grades known as or similar to Hastelloy are B2, G, X, and C22
MONEL – 400
A Nickel-Copper alloy developed by the International Nickel Co and authorized back in 1906. This material fights off corrosion mighty fine but it's a bit harder to work with than other nickel alloys in the same family. Monel is commonly used in marine jobs dealin' with the perpetual corrosion of seawater and makin' accessories for assemblies handlin' corrosive material, like strainers, wirin', valve gates, and fastener hardware.

INCONEL – 600, 601, 625, 718
Dem nickel-chromium alloys were developed back in the 1940s over in the United Kingdom. Y'all will commonly see 'em utilized in nuclear engineerin', aerospace engineerin', commercial refinin', and other demandin' large-scale applications. These materials got excellent resistance to corrosion and mighty great strength even when you're runnin' 'em in high heat and stress, makin' 'em excellent candidates for use in nuclear reactors and engine turbines.
INCOLOY – 800, 825, 800H, 800HT
Like its Inconel counterpart, these grades of nickel-chromium alloys got tight ranges on aluminum, titanium, and other trace element contents to produce material with the best properties in high heat applications. Y'all will commonly see 'em utilized in heat exchangers, power plants, furnaces, nuclear fuel processin', and other situations dat involve corrosive media at high temperatures.

Questions Folks Ask Us (FAQs)
Alloy pipe flanges are specialized pieces made from a mix of two or more metals, what we call alloys. This here blend boosts up their mechanical and chemical properties, givin' 'em more strength, exceptional durability, and a mighty fine resistance to corrosion.
Dese flanges are built to hold up mighty reliable in tough spots where your standard steel flanges might just give out on you.
Alloy pipe flanges offer a few mighty good advantages, makin' 'em somethin' y'all just can't do without in demandin' industrial jobs. They show off remarkable strength and durability, makin' sure they last a long time even when conditions get extreme. Their resistance to corrosion makes 'em ideal for use in spots exposed to moisture, chemicals, or just plain harsh weather.
Alloy pipe flanges can stand up to high temperatures and pressures, makin' 'em just right for use in power plants, chemical processing facilities, and oil and gas pipelines. Dese properties cut down on the need for frequent maintenance or swappin' parts out, which helps your whole operation run a lot smoother.
Alloy pipe flanges are best suited for jobs dat demand exceptional strength, durability, and holdin' up to harsh conditions. Y'all see 'em used a lot in industries like petrochemical processing, aerospace, marine engineering, and power generation.
If your system is runnin' in environments with high temperatures, high pressures, or gettin' exposed to corrosive substances, them alloy pipe flanges are gonna give you a reliable and long-lastin' solution, I tell you what.
Now despite all their benefits, dem alloy pipe flanges got a few drawbacks. The main thing is the cost, seein' as they're generally more expensive than your standard steel flanges 'cause of the high-quality materials and all the work it takes to make 'em.
Now, some types of alloy pipe flanges might not always be sittin' right there in stock, which can slow down gettin' your hands on 'em. For jobs dat ain't so critical or projects runnin' on a tight budget, dese things might make alloy pipe flanges a little less practical, I tell you what.
Alloy pipe flanges are made from a whole range of materials to take care of all sorts of different industrial needs.
The most commonly used materials include stainless steel, which gives you excellent corrosion resistance and strength; duplex stainless steel, known for its high strength and better resistance to stress corrosion crackin'; aluminum, valued for bein' lightweight and corrosion-resistant; and titanium, which offers outstanding resistance to corrosion and extreme temperatures while stayin' nice and light.
